MANASSAS, VA — Vandals used ketchup and mustard to write racial slurs and draw penises in Manassas driveways on Tuesday, the Prince William County Police Department told Patch.

None of the writing or images caused permanent property damage, authorities said. The police department also noted that the writings did not contain any threats.

Investigators have not identified any suspects in connection with the vandalism.

Residents called police officers to the 13300 block of Gandall Court in Manassas on Tuesday morning to report multiple cases of vandalism. The police department said several driveways and other residential areas had drawings and writing made from ketchup and mustard.

"There were a few racial slurs or other derogatory language, as well as, phallic symbols," the police department told Patch.

Some of the vandalism had already been cleaned up by the time police officers arrived on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Investigators said they recovered evidence in the area, and their investigation is ongoing.
