Corrections Officer Found Locked Inside Jail Cell In Manassas
The Prince William County police charged an inmate with abduction for allegedly closing a jail cell door on a corrections officer.

MANASSAS, VA โ The Prince William County Police Department charged an inmate at the county jail in Manassas with abduction on Tuesday night after a corrections officer was found in the inmate's cell.
Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, police officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center at 9320 Lee Ave. in Manassas to investigate an abduction involving a corrections officer.
The officers learned that while a corrections officer was performing a search of a cell, an inmate allegedly shut the door, locking the officer inside. After a short time, the officer was released without injuries.

Following the investigation, the officers identified Shane Benard Langley, 61, as the inmate suspected in the incident.
A court date of Dec. 4 has been set in the case. Langley remains jailed at the detention center.
