COVID-19 Vaccines For Children Available From Mobile Clinic
The Prince William Health District's Mobile Clinic Unit will visit sites in Dumfries and Manassas next week to vaccinate children.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Prince William County's Mobile Clinic Unit will visit sites in Manassas and Dumfries next week. The clinic will offer COVID-19 vaccines for children and adults. The clinic will also administer flu shots while supplies last.
More than 75 percent of Virginia's population is now fully vaccinated, according to data from the Virginia Department of Health. However, the VDH and local health departments are still focused on increasing vaccination rates.
"Those who are unvaccinated remain at the highest risk of severe illness and hospitalization due to COVID-19," the Prince William Health District said.

Mary Washington Healthcare operates several hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the area, including a location in Dumfries. According to their most recent data, 38 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 at Mary Washington Healthcare facilities. 32 of those patients are unvaccinated.
All eight of the COVID-19 patients Mary Washington's Intensive Care Units are unvaccinated, and all five of the patients on ventilators are unvaccinated. Mary Washington Healthcare has 19 COVID-19 patients under the age of 65 hospitalized; they are all unvaccinated.

Prince William County residents can receive a vaccine from clinics at the Manassas Mall or at the former Gander Mountain location in Woodbridge. Appointments are highly recommended for all residents, but they are required for children younger than 12.
The Woodbridge clinic is open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The Manassas Mall clinic offers vaccines for children on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The Manassas Mall clinic is open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Their vaccine offerings vary by days, so appointments are highly recommended.
Next week, the county's Mobile Clinic Unit will be in Dumfries from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The clinic will be located at the U-Mart grocery store in the Dumfries Shopping Plaza. First, second, and third doses of the COVID-19 vaccines will be available, including vaccines for children.
The Mobile Clinic Unit will also be in Manassas on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The clinic will be at the Fresh World store at 9540 Liberia Avenue. Appointments are not required.
