MANASSAS, VA — A man was arrested in Manassas on Jan. 2 after he was accused of assaulting a family member with brass knuckles, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Police claimed that the man, Christian Alexander Juarez, also damaged a house with the brass knuckles.

Police responded to the 7900 block of Sharpsburg Court around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2 for a domestic incident. Authorities determined that three members, Juarez and two others, were involved in an argument that escalated.

In their report, police said that Juarez grabbed one of the family members, a 43-year-old woman, and threw her to the ground. Police claimed that Juarez then got on top of the victim and grabbed her throat.

Another family member, who police identified as a 63-year-old woman, attempted to separate Juarez and the victim. Juarez then pushed the 63-year-old down, police reported.

Eventually, Juarez separated from the other family members and left the home. Outside the home, Juarez used the brass knuckles to damage the front door of the home and a window, authorities said.
