Drive-By Shooting Injures Three in Manassas: Police

Manassas Police believe the incident may be gang-related. Victims had injuries that were not life threatening. Suspects are at large.

MANASSAS, VA — Three pedestrians were shot Thursday night during a drive-by shooting in the 9800 block of Maury Lane that may be gang-related, according to Manassas Police.

The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspects — several Hispanic males, police say — remain at large.

Around 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of gunfire. When they arrived, they found a juvenile male, an adult female and an adult male down with gunshot wounds.

Two vehicles, a dark gray Mercedes and a dark Honda with loud exhaust, quickly fled the area together, according to witnesses.

Police say the shooting doesn't appear to be random, and the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force is helping with the investigation.
