Driver Assaulted, Puppy Stolen in Manassas

19-year-old was sitting in his car when two men brandished a gun and demanded money. They took cash and his dog, according to police.

MANASSAS, VA -- A young man was seriously assaulted and his dog was stolen in a robbery Tuesday night, according to Prince William County Police.

At 9 p.m., the 19-year-old victim, of Oakton, was sitting in his car in the 8000 block of McLean Street when he was approached by two unknown men.

The men brandished a firearm and demanded the victim get out of the car.

The victim was struck several times, according to police, suffering serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The robbers stole an undisclosed amount of money, a 9-week-old brown pit bull puppy, cell phone and keys.

The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 16 and 30 years of age, 5’9’’, 160lbs, with a medium build. Each man was wearing a black mask, black sweatshirt and jeans.
