Mustang Driver Dies After Single-Car Crash In Gainesville On Tuesday Afternoon: Police
Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a fatal single-car crash involving a Mustang in Gainesville on Tuesday.

GAINESVILLE, VA — A man died after a single-vehicle crash in Gainesville on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said John Andrew Uber died on Tuesday due to injuries suffered in the crash.
Investigators responded to the scene of the crash on Lee Highway around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities determined that the driver of a 2007 Ford Mustang was traveling northbound. Between Pageland Lane and Groveton Road, the driver lost control of the car and left the roadway, police said.

The car travelled along the gravel shoulder before reentering the roadway and crossing into the southbound lanes, according to the police report. The roadway then left the roadway a second time, struck a tree, and caught fire.
The driver of the Mustang, who police later identified as Uber, was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. He died on Wednesday, police said.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
