Driver Dies In Fiery Crash With Tractor Trailer At I-66 Rest Stop
The driver of a Toyota sedan was killed Saturday afternoon after their vehicle hit the back of a tractor trailer at an I-66 rest stop.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A Bristow man was killed in a fiery crash when their 2013 Toyota Corolla sedan struck the back of a tractor tailer at a rest stop on Interstate 66 in Prince William County on Saturday, according to the Virginia State Police.
The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the rest area located off of I-66 at the 49-mile marker, according to police.
Investigators determined that around 3:15 p.m., a Toyota driven by 19-year-old Jose Daniel Rivera Quintana of Bristow entered the rest area around located off of I-66 at the 49-mile marker at a high rate of speed, according to police. The sedan struck the rear of a 2024 Kenworth 310 tractor and burst into flames. Quintana died at the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer, who was resting in the cab of his truck when the crash occurred, was uninjured, according to VSP. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
