Drunk Guy Assaults Two Cops In Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA—A man assaulted two officers while being arrested for public intoxication Sunday night in the 8300 block of Centreville Road, according to Prince William County Police. Brian Lee Knox, 38, of the 190 block of Cabbel Drive in Manassas Park, was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of obstruction of justice and one count of public intoxication.

Shortly before 8 p.m., police arrived at the scene for a reportedly disorderly person. They soon decided he was, in fact, both disorderly and intoxicated. When they tried to detain him, he punched one officer in the chest and kicked another in the leg. He eventually was subdued, arrested and taken to jail.
