Dumfries Man Dies After Crashing Into Dump Truck: Police
Prince William County Police said the two-car accident happened on Balls Ford Road near Groveton Road in Manassas the morning of Aug. 16.
MANASSAS, VA — A 30-year-old Dumfries man died Monday, a result of injuries sustained in an accident where the car he was driving crashed into a dump truck. Police said Clay Haga died at an area hospital, where he was being treated following the Aug. 16 crash.
According to police, Haga was traveling east on Balls Ford Road, approaching Groveton Road. when the 2012 Toyota RAV 4 he was driving crossed over the double yellow center line and struck a 1999 Sterling transporter dump truck traveling westbound.
The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in this crash.
