"Thanks to the vigilance of a Prince William County Police Department, this majestic bird was swiftly rescued from train tracks on a construction site," the AERO organization wrote on Facebook. "With timing as crucial as it gets, an A.E.R.O. animal rescue volunteer arrived just in time to prevent another tragedy, ensuring the eagle's safety."

Dr. Belinda Berwell at Wildlife Vet Care helped care for the eagle as it recovered. After several weeks, the eagle was ready to take flight again.
