Eagles Blow Out Yellow Jackets
Osbourn's boys basketball team hosted Osbourn Park Friday night, defeating the cross-town rivals for the second time this season.

The Eagles hosted cross-town rivals Osbourn Park Wednesday night. It was the second match-up of the season between the two teams and the second time the Eagles won by a wide margin.
The Eagles ran away with a late victory in the first match-up, winning 82-66.
But Osbourn head coach, Mike Dufrene knew his team could play better and his boys proved him right on Wednesday night. Osbourn came out and took control of the game early on and ended up crushing the Yellow Jackets by a final score of 82-48.

Starting five quality seniors every game is a big advantage for the Eagles; all five are capable of putting up big offensive numbers. But even more importantly, they are very good defenders.
Defense is not always the Eagles' forte, but that has changed the last couple games. If the Eagles continue to play lock-down defense and continue to get a balanced output on offense, then they will continue to be tough to beat.

The Eagles were lead by senior Raphael Edwards who scored 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds in last night's pounding of Osbourn Park. Senior point guard, Cedrick Delaney and fellow senior Corey Bedford each tallied 15 points in the victory. The Eagles also got a solid game from one of their key role players, Landon Dufrene who scored 10 points and also grabbed seven rebounds.
Osbourn remains undefeated at 6-0. The Eagles will be back in action on December 27th as they will be playing in a holiday tournament at Lake Braddock High School.
