Eagles Pursue Fourth Straight Win

Osbourn looks to extend its winning streak against Potomac

Osbourn (3-2) will wrap up their non-district schedule Friday as they travel to Potomac (2-2) to take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

“They are a typical Potomac team,” Head Coach Steve Schultze said of the opponent. “They are tenacious and they are big and physical upfront.”

The Eagles are coming off a crushing 42-7 victory on Monday, when they beat cross-town rivals Osbourn Park Yellow Jackets, and are riding a three-game winning streak. Potomac is also coming off a Monday night win after losing two straight.

“Both teams have to deal with a short work week, so the team that handles that the best will probably come out on top,” Schultze said.

After dropping the first two games, Osbourn has come alive recently. The offense has torched its opponents for 148 points over the last three weeks, while the defense has only allowed 20 points.

“We’re really trying to get on a roll here and I think we are starting to move in that direction,” Schultze concluded.
