Eagles Top Indians to Remain Unbeaten
Osbourn's boys basketball team remain undefeated, topping the Indians of Stafford on Wednesday night.

The Osbourn Eagles boys basketball team traveled to Stafford on Wednesday night to take on the Indians in a non-district match-up.
The Eagles had already won their first two games of the season and were looking to remain on top. The Indians of Stafford came out playing hard, but despite the effort, it just wasn't enough to contain the many weapons that the Eagles have this season.
Osbourn was in control for the majority of the game and really opened the lead up late. The strong showing eventually lead to the Eagles winning by a final score of 83-66.

Osbourn had to make some adjustments as their starting big man, Raphael Edwards was out of action for precautionary reasons after being in a minor automobile crash. That meant Senior and first year player, Denzel Lay would have to step up in Edwards' absence. Fortunately for the Eagles, Lay was able to do a solid job as he scored 12 points and also snagged 12 rebounds.
Senior Landon Dufrene was also limited as he is still recovering from an ankle injury suffered in the first game of the season.

Osbourn looked to some of their other experienced seniors to help lead them to victory. Senior Corey Bedford was the leading scorer in the game as he poured in 24 points. Bedford has scored at least 20 points in each of the team's first three games. Fellow Senior and four-year-starter, Jay Lane, also had a big game as he tallied 22 points. Connor Lane came off the bench to score eight points while Cedrick Delaney and Jay Lane had 11 steals combined.
Osbourn improved to 3-0 on the season and their next game will be at home on Friday night. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 against Freedom of South Riding.
