
The Osbourn boys basketball team played host to the Panthers of Potomac Falls on Saturday night, one day after winnning a district matchup game against Battlefield.
Osbourn and Potomac Falls have developed a heated rivalry over the past year; in two meetings last year, each team beat the other one time.
In fact, Potomac Falls handed Osbourn their only regular season defeat last year.

Neither team played their best basketball on Saturday, but it was still a hard-fought battle that the fans really got into. In the end, Osbourn was able to hold off the Panthers and win the game by a final score of 62-52.
The Eagles were able to hold Potomac Falls superstar, Greg Graves to 13 points—a big key to the victory as Graves scored 44 points and pulled down 31 rebounds in a recent game.

The game stayed close throughout, but the Eagles able to hold the lead. Although Osbourn didn't have one of their better nights offensively, they were able to do well on the defensive end to hold off the Panthers. The ten-point victory was the 12th straight for Osbourn as they remain unbeaten.
The Eagles were lead in the game by point guard Cedrick Delaney who scored 21 points. Corey Bedford also had a big game as he scored 14 points and snagged eight rebounds. Jay Lane was the third Eagle player in double figures as he tallied 11 points.
Osbourn is continuing to play very solid team basketball. Even when they have an off night on the offensive end, their defense makes up for it and they find ways to win. The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday evening as they will play host to Patriot with tip-off scheduled for 7:30pm.
