Electrical Supply Distributor Opens 1st Branch In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — City Electric Supply, a family-owned electrical wholesale distributor headquartered in Dallas, has opened its first branch in Manassas at 8042 Flannery Court. Wayne Kramer serves as manager of the branch, which specializes in residential, light commercial and local government business.

During the last year as Kramer was preparing for the opening of the Manassas branch, he and his team began looking for the perfect location to open the branch. "I worked with my district manager, Sam Morse, to choose the best location. Once we found the location, we worked with the owner and a general contractor to make sure the build out was completed with our customers in mind," Kramer said in a statement.

Prior to joining City Electric Supply, Kramer worked for a different electrical wholesale company for 15 years and ran three different branches for 10 of those years.

"Kramer and his team poured their sweat and tears into renovations," the company said Monday in a news release. "They set up racks, ordered materials to fit the needs of any customer and organized the showroom and warehouse so that customers could find what they needed as soon as they arrived."

City Electric Supply has more than 3,000 employees at hundreds of branches across the country. While a large company, City Electric Supply said its prides itself on "empowering people to make local business decisions" by providing customers with tailored services for their electric supply needs.

The company has seen rapid growth over the past 20 years. It opened its 100th store in 2000 and is nearing the opening of its 500th store.

In addition to the Manassas location, City Electric Supply has Northern Virginia branches in Sterling and Alexandria. The company also has several locations in Washington's Maryland suburbs, including, Capitol Heights, Beltsville, Rockville and Gaithersburg.
