Burgess is a multimedia artist who likes to create narrative art with epic or mythic subject matter. His journey as an artist began as a student at NOVA’s Loudoun Campus where he earned an associate degree in fine arts. Burgess says his NOVA education provided an excellent foundation for his path as a visual communicator and he went on to earn a master of fine arts degree at Hartford Art School.
Burgess works at the Department of Defense as a visual information specialist and lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with his wife, Julia.
