Mindfulness and Parenting

Using mindfulness meditation to reduce stress and increase joy in your daily parenting routine. Mindfulness meditation is at the forefront of many of today's wellness and parenting research trends, but what's it really about? In this workshop we will explore the ways in which you can use mindful awareness to increase empathy and compassion in their daily interactions with your child. We'll talk about what mindfulness is and isn't and learn how to use it to tune into our children and manage parenting stress more effectively.

 

Esther Boykin, LMFT and Llouana Harper, LPC are the co-founders of Group Therapy Associates in Haymarket, VA.. Esther is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a graduate of Virginia Tech. She has a special passion for working with relationship issues and trauma. Llouana, a graduate of University of Rochester, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience working with parenting issues. Together with their team of therapists, Esther and Llouana offer individual and group therapy as well as wellness coaching and assessments.
