As part of the Sesquicentennial/First Manassas celebration, the Clifton Historic Preservation Committee is sponsoring a lecture by Ed Bearss on the Battle of Blackburn's Ford and the activities that took place in the Clifton area as part of the 1st Manassas campaign. The lecture is free and will be held on Friday, July 15th at 7 p.m. at the Clifton Presbyterian Church at 12748 Richards Lane in Clifton, VA. There will also be available for sale a Blackburn's Ford commemorative envelope with the Bull Run stamp and a special cancellation mark that the committee has produced with the cooperation of the Clifton Post Office.
