Fall Jubilee Returns To Historic Downtown Manassas After COVID Pause in 2020

The Fall Jubilee will return to Historic Downtown Manassas in October after a year-long break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

MANASSAS, VA — The Fall Jubilee will return to Historic Downtown Manassas in October. The festival was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2. Organizers said the 2021 jubilee fill host more than 100 booths, and thousands of visitors are expected.

The annual festival is hosted by Historic Manassas, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the city's heritage, traditions, and charm. "Live music and entertainment will be featured on two stages set up in the Harris Pavilion and on Main Street throughout the day," the organizers said in a news release. "Visitors can look forward to seeing dancers, cloggers and martial artists in addition to hearing music from the Prince William String Academy and others."

In 2019, the last time the Fall Jubilee was held in Manassas, more than 40,000 visitors attended. Organizers said the event is "much-anticipated" after last year's break.

Debbie Haight is the executive director of Historic Manassas Inc. "Fall Jubilee has become a local tradition," Haight said. "I love how families come out year after year to play games, shop at unique craft booths and listen to live music in the heart of our historic downtown."

The event has also received a "Sip and Shop" license from Virginia ABC. Attendees will be able to purchase an alcoholic beverage to-go from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. as they walk through the event.

Free parking will be available at the parking garage between Main Street and Battle Street. In case of severe weather, the Fall Jubilee has a make-up date scheduled on Saturday, Oct. 9.
