Fire Affects Trailer Used For Storage At Prince William County School

A school trailer not used for instruction was the location of a fire over the weekend, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

MANASSAS, VA — A fire was extinguished in a school trailer in the Manassas area of Prince William County over the weekend, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

Firefighters responded around 9:07 a.m. Saturday to a report of smoke from a trailer at Loch Lomond Elementary School, 7900 Augusta Rd., Manassas, VA. The fire department said it quickly put out the fire. There were no reported injuries.

According to the fire department, the trailer is being used for storage, not instruction. School activities will not be disrupted by the fire.

The cause of the fire was electrical failure within a wall structure, the fire marshal's office said.
