Firefighter Injured Battling House Fire In Manassas

Fire crews were dispatched to a residence in the 10200 block of Waterford Drive on Friday after several callers reported a house on fire.

MANASSAS, VA — A firefighter suffered minor injuries Friday battling a blaze at a Manassas home, according to officials.

Fire crews were dispatched to a residence in the 10200 block of Waterford Drive after several callers reported a house on fire. When crews arrived, they found flames coming from the roof of a two-story home.

No one was inside the residence when the fire broke out, officials said. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the City of Manassas Fire Marshal’s Office. Manassas Fire and Rescue was assisted by Prince William County Fire & Rescue System and Manassas Park Fire Rescue.
