Former K9 Dog Mako Dies: Manassas City Police
A former K-9 dog for Manassas City Police died of natural causes Thursday, the department announced. Mako was a five-year veteran.
MANASSAS, VA — A former Manassas City Police K-9 dog died Thursday of natural causes at the home of its handler, Manassas Police officer Russ McAndrews, according to the department. The dog, named Mako, was part of the force for five years before it was retired in May 2013. It was certified in patrol tactics and finding drugs.
