Four-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted By Manassas Man: Police

Police arrested the 49-year-old man after he allegedly told a staff member at the girl's school what he did.

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County Police have arrested a 49-year-old Manassas man after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl. According to police, Gonzalo Antonio Cruz Morales was arrested Aug. 14 and charged with aggravated sexual battery following an investigation into the incident.

According to police, Morales sexually assaulted a female acquaintance, who was 4 years old at the time, between the dates of May 1 and June 6. Police learned about it after Morales allegedly told a staff member at the girl’s school about the encounter. The staff member later called police, the report said.

Detectives with the Special Victims Unit investigated the incident with the help of Child Protective Services, police said. Morales currently is being held in jail on no bond. His court date is pending.
