Free Car Seat Inspections This December

Before you head over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house, make sure your child is safely secured in the back seat. The Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue will hold free car seat inspections throughout the county in December.

Certified car seat technicians will check that car seats follow Virginia car seat laws.

Inspections are available in Manassas on Friday, Dec 19. at the Super Target, 9900 Sowder Village Square, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Santa will make a special guest appearance.

If you can’t make it to the inspections in Manassas, they are also available in Bristow on Dec. 3 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Winchester on Dec. 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Dec. 3 inspections will be held at the Nokesville/PWC Fire and Rescue, 9405 Devlins Grove Place in Bristow. The Shawnee Fire and Rescue Department will host the Dec. 11 inspections at 2210 Valor Drive in Winchester.
