Gang-Related Murder Arrests in Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA — Seven people suspected of gang-related activities were arrested Wednesday for the Oct. 29 shooting murder of Edwin Ivan Chicas, 22, of Manassas, in the 7500 block of Quail Run Lane, according to Prince William County Police.

The two people believed to be responsible for the death are both suspected members of the criminal gang Mara Salvatrucha, or MS13, as are the other people arrested. Two other men are wanted in the incident.

Marion Edenilson Argueta-Flores, 23, of the 8300 block of Shady Grove Circle, was charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Gerson Aldair Sorto-Ramirez, 18, of the 8800 block of Flatbush Court, was charged with murder.

Chicas was found by officers shortly before 10 p.m., and he had been shot multiple times.

Police said homes and vehicles in the area were also struck by gunfire, and that the shooting did not appear to be random. The suspects fled in a vehicle.

Still at large are Kevin Vigil Cruz, 22, of the 9400 block of Locust Terrace and Carlos Antoni Cisneros-Espinal, 21, of the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive.

The other suspects, including a juvenile, were arrested at the following locations: The 8300 block of Shady Grove Circle, the 8800 block of Flatbush Court, the 9400 block of Locust Terrace, the 10100 block of Sabin Drive and the 11000 block of Camfield Court.

Charged with conspiracy to commit a felony:

• Omar Javier Villegas-Ayala, 19, of the 9400 block of Locust Terrace.
• Kevin Portillo Quintanilla, 18, of the 10100 block of Sabin Drive.

Charged with being an accessory after the fact:

• Ana Luisa Hernandez-Ramirez, 29, of the 9400 block of Locust Terrace.
• Tania Manilo Henriquez-Carronza, 24, of the 9400 block of Locust Terrace.

Charged with conspiracy to commit a felony was a 17-year-old male juvenile.
