Governor Drops By New Doughnut Shop (ICYMI)

In Case You Missed It: Paradise Donuts opens its doors to the city's early risers on Wednesday.

A new doughnut shop started up last week in Manassas, and its first customer was none other than the governor of Virginia.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe was in town Tuesday to speak at a luncheon hosted by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, and afterwards he dropped by Paradise Donuts to sample the wares. He particiapted in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the new shop’s owners and managers, as shown on the shop’s Facebook page.

The shop opened its doors to the general public at the crack of dawn - 5 a.m. - on Wednesday. Paradise Donuts also has a deli and offers coffee and a variety of bagels. The shop is at 10233 Nokesville Road (Route 28), west of Wellington Road and east of Godwin Drive.
