Gunshot Fired At Manassas School After Argument Heats Up: Police
Two groups at a Manassas area elementary school were involved in an argument that escalated when a gunshot was fired, police said.

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County Police Department officers went to West Gate Elementary School in the Manassas area Tuesday afternoon to investigate a report of gunshots fired, the police department said Wednesday.
A witness reported to the police that two groups of people were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when a gunshot was fired. Both groups had fled the area on foot prior to police arriving at the school around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.
No injuries or property damage was reported. A police K-9 and a Fairfax County police helicopter responded to search for the suspects who were not initially located.

During their investigation, police officers received information about the location of three of the suspects possibly involved. At this time, no charges have been placed, the police department said.
