Gunshot Incident In Pond Investigated By Manassas Police
A school was placed under shelter in place status due to the police investigation but resumed normal activities.
MANASSAS, VA — Police are investigating a gunshot incident in Manassas Thursday, prompting a nearby school to go under "shelter in place" status.
City of Manassas Police responded around 1:45 p.m. Thursday to Dean Park Lane. Police received a report of someone shooting a gun into a pond behind Dean Park Lane. There have been no reported injuries.
Jennie Dean Elementary went under "shelter in place" status as a precaution but resumed regular activities and is dismissing on time.
