Haunted Happenings 2016 Saturday in Downtown Manassas
The two-hour event in the morning will feature trick or treating at various shops as well as a costume contest.
MANASSAS, VA — If you're looking for a Saturday morning Halloween excursion for kids, head to downtown Manassas and you'll definitely find a not-so-ghoulish activity.
It's Haunted Happenings 2016, and it'll be held in the heart of downtown from 10 a.m.-noon.
Area merchants will be providing trick-or-treating candy at their shops, and there will be plenty of "ghoulish" games.

Perhaps the highlight is the costume contest, to be held as a parade of costumes. Winners for the categories will be announced at 11:15 a.m.
Kids can pick up trick or treating bags at the intersection of Center and Main Streets.
