Inmate Found Dead At Prince William County Jail: Police

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center. According to police, the man — identified as Dale Wayne Fox, 34, of Fredericksburg — was found unresponsive in his cell at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Fox was found unconscious during a routine cell check, police said. Jail staff provided first aid until the man could be transported to the hospital; however, once at the hospital, Fox was pronounced dead.

The cause of his death is still unknown, police said. The exact cause will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office pending an autopsy and toxicology results.
