Intoxicated Driver Flees Police With Boy in Manassas: Police
The woman was arrested in Fairfax County after the 10-year-old bolted from the vehicle in D.C., say Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — A woman suspected of child neglect sped away from officers with a 10-year-old boy in her vehicle Friday night at the intersection of Sudley Road and Sudley Manor Driver and later was arrested in Fairfax County, according to Prince William County Police.
Alisha Griffin, 32, of the 10300 block of Trundle Place in Manassas, was charged with child neglect and felony eluding.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., police reported to a report from Manassas Mall that the 10-year-old texted a family member saying he was inside the vehicle of his mom, who was intoxicated and driving recklessly.

Police found the vehicle before stopping the chase at an entrance to I-66. The vehicle continued on to D.C., where the boy bolted from the vehicle and called police. The car finally was stopped in Farifax County. A family member took custody of the boy.
