Juvenile Attacks Officers With Knife in Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA — A boy being investigated for a domestic dispute Thursday grabbed a large kitchen knife and tried to slash two officers in the 10200 block of Irongate Way, according to Prince William County Police.

The juvenile, 15, was charged with two counts of attempted malicious wounding of a law enforcement officer and one count of destruction of property.

Around 2 p.m., police arrived the residence and encountered the suspect, who became agitated and was detained and then, when officers were trying to remove him from the residence, he grabbed the knife and attempted to assault them.

He was quickly disarmed, and no injuries were reported.
