Kenneth J. Kniceley

Kenneth J. Kniceley died on September 28, 2014, in Prince William Hospital, Manassas, Virginia after a brief illness. He was born on September 14, 1932, in Warm Springs, Virginia to Jacob and Zella Kniceley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Evelyn Weller and Virginia Kniceley. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol; his daughters, Carol, Mary, Eileen, Cindy and Peggy; and by his sons, Michael and Kenneth. Mr. Kniceley and his wife have 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was a resident of Catlett, Virginia for 40 years and moved to Bristow, Virginia in 2011. Mr. Kniceley was a member of the Midland Church of the Brethren, where he had served as a deacon. He sang and played guitar with his pastor and friends at nutrition centers and nursing homes in both Rappahannock and Culpeper. He enjoyed playing golf and since retiring from IBM in 1989, he has worked at several golf courses in Prince William County. He also spent 4 years in the Navy from 1952 to 1956.

The family will receive visitors at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia, on Friday, October 3, 2014, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, and on Saturday, October 4, 2014, from 11:30am – 12:30pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 12:30pm by Pastor Tim Monn of the MCB. Interment immediately following at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
