Lady Eagles Fly Past Freedom
Osbourn's girls basketball team dominated Freedom High School in Monday night's game.
The Osbourn High School varsity girls basketball team put on a show for the fans Monday night as they coasted to a 51-32 victory over Freedom High School.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to a big lead in the first half and would not allow Freedom to get back in the game.
In the first quarter, Osbourn outscored Freedom 13-7 to take an early lead. It was a lead that the Eagles would never surrender.

Freedom did not have the lead at any point during the game.
Osbourn's girls played very solid defense throughout the whole game and it was evident that the girls from Freedom were frustrated at the fact that they could not crack the pressure.

Osbourn really opened up their lead in the second quarter as the offense exploded for 24 points in the period. The defense was equally as good as they held Freedom to seven second quarter points, which led to the Lady Eagles holding a 37-14 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Osbourn offense slowed down, but the defense kept the pressure on Freedom.
When all was said and done, Osbourn had played their way to a comfortable 51-32 victory.
Head Coach Emily Kellogg said, "They should be proud how well they played last night after coming back from the break. I was very happy with their performance and hustle."
Leading performers for the Lady Eagles included:
-- Mikal Johnson who scored 14 points and also dished out 6 assists
-- Bailey Dufrene who scored 13 points and pulled down 7 rebounds
-- Zoie Patrick who scored 9 points on three 3-pointers
-- Samantha Frowen who also scored 9 points and rebounded very well
Osbourn's girls had a night to enjoy their victory and they will be back in action Tuesday night as they play at Garfield at 6:00 p.m.
