Lidl Grand Opening Sept. 14 In Manassas
German-based grocer Lidl will have the grand opening Sept. 14 of its Manassas store, 11782 Sudley Manor Drive. It's the first in DC area.
MANASSAS, VA — German-based grocer Lidl will have the grand opening Sept. 14 of its Manassas store, 11782 Sudley Manor Drive. The discount supermarket thus will christen its first store in Northern Virginia and first in Greater Washington. But more are on the way.
Besides food, the store also sells clothes, appliances and household goods. According to the real estate information firm CoStar, the grocer could have up to 150 stores open in the mid-Atlantic region by 2018. The Lidl company has its corporate headquarters in Crystal City and a distribution center in Fredericksburg.
