Local Chef Wins Top Honor in Grilling Steaks
LongHorn Steakhouse employee wins first place in company's regional competition.

MANASSAS, VA -- Ricky Reid, a culinary team member at the local LongHorn Steakhouse, was recently recognized as the regional winner of the company’s Steak Master Series competition, the company announced. This honor is bestowed upon the top-performing culinary team members at LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants across the country. Reid is one of just 60 team members to achieve this distinction.
All of the nearly 6,000 culinary team members at LongHorn Steakhouse locations nationwide were invited to participate in the Steak Master Series, which took the form of written and culinary tests. First place regional Steak Master Series winners – including Reid – will compete for a chance to become one of seven division finalists, said the company.
The finalists will travel to company headquarters in Orlando, Fla., to compete for the title of Steak Master Series Champion. LongHorn has more than 480 restaurants in 40 states.
