Local DAR Chapter Receives Proclamation from Manassas City Mayor

Proclamation given to local Daughters of the American Revolution for Constitution Week.

During the weekly City Council meeting in Manassas City on Monday, September 10, Mayor Hal Parrish, II awarded the Constitution Week Proclamation to the Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The DAR was founded in 1890 and its members are descendants of Patriots who fought during Revolutionary War. They are a service organization dedicated to historic preservation, patriotism and education.
