Malakhi Lounge Grand Opening March 31 In Manassas

Malakhi Lounge and Jamaican Restaurant has its grand opening set for March 31. It'll feature live music, dancing and even comedy.

MANASSAS, VA—Want to dance? Then dance. Same drill for laughing. And eating. Most definitely eating. And if it happens to feel as though you stumbled into some jumpin' spot on the islands, then so be it. Say hello to Malakhi's Lounge and Jamaican Restaurant, which has its grand opening set for this Saturday, March 31.

Owned by Army veteran Robert Knight, the 4,800 square-feet eatery at 8910 Mathis Avenue will focus on Carribbean fare. That includes such items as jerk chicken, fried plantains and coconut rice. But that's hardly all Malakhi will offer.

We're talking live music, for one thing. And inasmuch that one thing leads to another, we're talking dancing. There's also a comedy club aspect, probably on a weekly basis with details to come.
