Malicious Wounding: Man Arrested In Manassas
A man wanted for punching an acquaintance in the face and causing a severe cut last week in Gainesville turned himself in: PWC Police

GAINESVILLE, VA — A man wanted for punching an acquaintance in the face and causing a severe cut last week in the 7800 block of Limestone Court turned himself in Sunday to Manassas authorities, according to Prince William County Police. John Alvin Thomas, Jr., 48, of the 14700 block of Wycombe Street in Centreville, was charged with malicious wounding. He's being held without bond.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 17, police responded to the aforementioned address for a reported assault. The victim, a 35-year-old Manassas man, told police he and Thomas were involved in a fight but then separated. Shortly afterward, while the victim was sitting in a vehicle, Thomas allegedly approached the vehicle and punched the man in the face, causing a severe laceration.
