Man Arrested After Attempted Sexual Assault In Manassas
Prince William County police said the attempted assault occurred as the victim was walking her dog in Manassas.

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County police have arrested a man who they say tried to sexually assault a woman while she was walking her dog in Manassas.
Mohammad Faqir Zada, 71, of Manassas, was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted sexual battery and abduction with intent to defile following the March 15 incident.
According to police, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. at the Bull Run Swim and Racquet Club, located at 8101 Seymour Road in Manassas.

Police said the victim, an 18-year-old woman, was walking her dog on a path when she was approached by an unknown man who had been seated on a nearby bench. During the encounter, police said the man attempted to touch her inappropriately before leaving the area on foot.
No injuries were reported.

According to police, Faqir Zada was later identified as the suspect. He is being held without bond.
