Man Arrested For Assault Over Unpaid Restaurant Bill: Police

According to Prince William police, the suspect went on to also assault his roommate later that night.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Manassas man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting another man over an unpaid restaurant bill. According to police, Vasco Ignacio Anaya Silva Santisteban, 34, assaulted the man at a Woodbridge 7-11, and also assaulted his roommate later that night.

Police were called to the 7-11 at 13990 Jefferson Davis Hwy. at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 11. When they arrived, they met with the first victim, a 30-year-old man, who said the suspect assaulted him following an argument over an unpaid bill at a local restaurant. According to police, Santisteban hit the victim with an object, causing a cut on his hand and several bumps on his face and head. Santisteban left the scene prior to the officer's arrival.

About 20 minutes later, officers were called to a fight in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge involving the same suspect. Officers met with a second victim, a 34-year-old man, who reported he was assaulted by his roommate, identified as Santisteban.

According to police, the two men got into an argument that turned physical when Santisteban struck the victim with an object, resulting in a cut on the back of his head.

Following the investigation, Santisteban was arrested on charges of malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding, assault and battery, and destruction of private property. He currently is being held without bond.
