Man Assaults Officer Checking on His Welfare in Manassas: Police
He fell and cut his head during the scuffle before being taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — A man angry about police being called to check on his welfare Thursday night in the 13600 block of Brendon Drive became irate and pushed an officer in the chest before being arrested, according to Prince William County Police.
Christopher Jason Garvey, 53, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the officers arrived and Garvey allowed them into his home. But he became agitated and after pushing one officer he fell and cut his head while police tried to detain him.

He was treated at a local hospital and later released by police on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
