Man Assaults Officer, Subdued With TASER in Manassas: Police

He bit a woman on the head and was intoxicated, according to Prince William County Police, and hit an officer while being arrested.

MANASSAS, VA — A man assaulted an officer early Wednesday morning at a hotel in the 10600 block of Automotive Drive and had to be subdued with a TASER, according to Prince William County Police.

Robert Leroy Reid, 35, of the 6200 block of Aspen Way in Bealton, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, malicious wounding, destruction of property, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

He's being held without bond.

Shortly after 4 a.m., police responded to investigate a disorderly person report, and a 29-year-old woman of Manassas said an acquaintance bit her on the head and then ransacked a hotel room.

Officers soon found him and determined he was intoxicated, after which they tried to arrest him. He hit one officer in the chest, which brought out the TASER.
