Man Assaults Prison Guard During Search in Manassas: Police
The inmate became agitated while his cell was being searched, according to Prince William County Police, and shoved the guard in the chest.
MANASSAS, VA — An inmate assaulted a guard searching his cell Wednesday night at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center, 9320 Lee Avenue, according to Prince William County Police.
Darius Xmas Washington, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with assault and battery on a corrections officer.
Around 7 p.m., officers arrived at the jail to investigate an assault that occurred earlier in the day. Washington became agitated during the search of his cell and pushed the officer in the chest.
