Man Assaults Woman Holding Baby In Manassas: Police
Authorities are looking for a Dumfries man who assaulted a woman holding their 6-month-old baby girl in Manassas: PWC Police.

MANASSAS, VA—Authorities are looking for a man who assaulted a woman holding their 6-month-old baby girl and then preventing a family member from calling for help Saturday in the 11400 block of Lucasville Road, according to Prince William County Police.
Robert Joseph Hardy II, 38, of the 3200 block of John Rolfe Court in Dumfries, is described as white, 5-10, 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He's wanted for strangulation, child endangerment, domestic assault and battery and preventing the summoning of a law enforcement officer.
Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to the scene for a 911 call. They found that Hardy and the woman, 35, were driving in Prince William County and got into an argument that escalated, during which he grabbed her and began choking her. When they arrived at the aforementioned residence, he pulled her to the ground while she was holding the baby and began to choke her again.

The woman said she at some point, she lost consciousness. A family member fried to call police but Hardy allegedly grabbed the phone and damaged it before finally fleeing. Minor injuries were reported and the baby wasn't harmed. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
