Man Assaults Woman In Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA—A man was arrested Monday after assaulting a woman and then preventing her from leaving a residence in the 7900 block of Deward Court, according to Prince William County Police. William Vladimir Ayala Espinola , 26, of the aforementioned address, was charged with abduction and domestic assault.

Around 4 p.m., police responded to the home for a reported domestic assault. The woman, 30, said she and Espinola—an acquaintance—were in an argument that escalated. He then hit her in the face, at which point she tried to leave. He grabbed her and prevented her departure until she finally broke free and fled. Minor injuries were reported.
