Man Critically Injured In Manassas Shooting: Police

A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot Tuesday night in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot by an unknown person Tuesday night at Maplewood Park Apartments in the 8100 block of Peakwood Court, according to Prince William County Police. The victim, 28, was flown to an area hospital.

Around 7 p.m., police responded to the scene for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man with gunshot wounds to his lower body. Officers gave first aid to the man before rescue crews arrived. Police say the victim was involved in an argument with an unknown suspect, during which he was shot.

A K-9 unit searched the area but came up empty. Police say the shooting doesn't appear to be random. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
