Man Dies After Being Hit By SUV In Manassas On Tuesday: Police
A man died on Tuesday after he was hit by an SUV near Balls Ford Road and Coppermine Drive in Manassas, according to the police department.

MANASSAS, VA — A pedestrian died after an SUV hit him in Manassas on Tuesday evening, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Police said he was wearing dark clothing and walking in the roadway.
Authorities have not identified the deceased pedestrian by name, as they are still working to identify his next of kin. Police believe he is a 63-year-old man.
The driver of the SUV, a 39-year-old woman from Cherry Valley, New York, stayed at the scene of the crash. Police do not believe speed, alcohol, or drugs caused her to collide with the pedestrian.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Balls Ford Road and Coppermine Drive, police said.
A 2022 GMC Terrain was travelling eastbound on Balls Ford Road when it struck the pedestrian. Authorities said the pedestrian was walking with traffic in the road.

The driver provided first aid to the man until first responders arrived, according to the police report. EMS personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing, and police said they would release the name of the deceased pedestrian later.
