Man Fires Gun At Woman In Manassas: Police UPDATED
UPDATED: A man fired a gun at a woman outside her home in Manassas, say Manassas City Police. He was caught by PWC Police after a chase.

MANASSAS, VA—A man repeatedly fired a gun at a woman outside her home Wednesday afternoon in the 9200 block of Niki Place, according to Manassas City Police. Warren Corum, 38, of the 2100 block of Mountain Road in Haymarket, was charged with attempted malicious wounding, discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Corum also faces numerous charges stemming from his ultimate arrest by Prince William County Police following a chase initiated by Manassas City incident.
Around 2:30 p.m., police arrived at the scene for a reported shooting. They found that the woman, 46, was arguing with Corum through an open window when, at some point, he began shooting in her direction. He fled before Manassas Police arrived.

Then, shortly before 5:30 p.m., Prince William County Police responded to a report of "shots fired" in the 2100 block of Mountain Road. A caller said someone had fired a weapon while driving away from a home in the area. The vehicle description matched that of the one being sought by Manassas Police.
PWC Police found the vehicle in the parking lot of Merchants View Square. When they tried to arrest Corum, he fled onto James Madison Highway. He hit two occupied vehicles going in the opposite direction, as well as a mailbox. When the car broke down, Corum fled on foot.

He was found and detained with the help of a K-9 unit. A search of the vehicle found suspected narcotics and marijuana. The driver of one of the vehicles hit suffered minor injuries.
Corum was charged by PWC Police with two counts of felony hit and run, one count of misdemeanor hit and run, one count of felony eluding, one count of driving under the influence (third offense in 10 years), one count of refusal, one count of possession of a scheduled I or II narcotic, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of obstruction of justice and additional traffic charges.
